LAOS

After a long boat ride in Mekong river, we arrived to a beautiful place located between a beach and the mountains. There was silent, and no humans to spot near by. After walking past cows and chickens for a while, we saw a little girl standing barefoot in front of us in the road. Two other kids came running to her, and we followed them in to a little village.

The locals were welcoming us, and the kids showed us around the area. There were many tree houses around, build by them selves. A woman was hanging clothes outside to dry. Pigs and dogs were walking around. Two ladies were showering in the well. The older kids carried their younger siblings on their back. Some of them were teasing each other. Others were climbing in the trees. They showed us their classroom, where they were learning english. One of the older kids started to count to hundred «One, two, three, four...»

We shared the most delicious home made meal outside, and watched the kids play around. It was dark, but they had saved up enough electricity for one lamp to work, so we could see the food.

We went to bed early, so we could get up before the families started working (around 5 AM). We were staying with a kind family, who had laid out many madrases on the floor for us. Some of the family members were already sleeping, and some were eating dinner. We fell asleep fast, after a long, but amazing day.
